REUBER HENNING love stripes and stories: It was in early 2012 that the Berlin label presented its first striped rugs, followed by further pieces in 2013. And our love for stripes remains unbroken: Apart from the new designs “Farmland“, “Woodland“ and “Graceland“, REUBER HENNING also add three new watercolour variants, extending the “Neverland“ Collection to a total of twelve different colourful creations.
With “Neverland“, REUBER HENNING emphasize reality’s contrasts. In a colourful and unexpected succession that never repeats, one knot follows upon the next, one row upon the other, just the way events unfold in real life. In this way, the fast-changing pattern, made up of more then 70 colours, builds up to form a whole. “Farmland“, “Woodland“ and “Graceland“ expand the existing collection of stripe designs that has already become a classic in the world of rugs.
With “Blue Velvet“, “Clockwork Orange“ and “Eternal Sunshine“, REUBER HENNING also add three new watercolour designs that, other than previous “Neverland“ rugs, stand out for their high silk content. In the new watercolour designs, adjoining colours mix and form particularly beautiful random colour combinations: Chance remains the basic idea behind the “Neverland“ Collection.
As all REUBER HENNING products, the “Neverland“ rugs are diligently made by hand using traditional Tibetan techniques, meaning it takes months to complete a piece. The stripe designs are produced in a small workshop in Nepal’s Kathmandu valley, using only natural materials like Chinese silk and Tibetan highland wool, renowned for ranging among the best and most robust qualities worldwide.
