Nomination for German Design Award 2015 for "modul space" / Excellent Product Design

Offenhausen, July 2014. There are some design awards for which it is an honour just to be nominated, for instance the German Design Award, which is presented by the German Design Council.

In the "50 years of Bosse" anniversary year, the "modul space" furniture system from Bosse, a brand of the Dauphin HumanDesign Group, is receiving the coveted nominee tag in the "Excellent Product Design" category in recognition of the design expertise that has gone into this exceptional furniture system.

The "modul space" system structure consists of just three components: an enclosed connector, chrome modular tubing and system panels made from lots of different materials. From the multi-faceted combination of these three elements, Bosse has been manufacturing individual, timeless and high-quality furniture Made in Germany for a good 13 years now.

What makes this supporting tube system unusual is the exceptionally high potential for individualisation that Bosse exploits expertly and constantly expands in new creative ways. The panels alone provide such a wide selection of different materials that there is something to cater for any requirement: from robust melamine surfaces in lots of colours and decors, sophisticated high-gloss lacquered finishes, film-coated glass surfaces through to a variety of veneers.

The amazing diversity of the system involves both the combination of metal and wood and the possible design options with over 30 different standard tube lengths in addition to enclosed connectors and surfaces.

Whatever is constructed using this Bosse system – whether it be reception counters, lounge solutions, office, home furniture, seating, tables, cupboards or even kitchen units – the consistency in the design guarantees a timeless style of furniture with straight lines throughout that offers plenty of scope for you to add your own personal touch.
