Right now there is a wall between the living room and the kitchen. Soon that will be open. "We want an open kitchen because the kitchen is the hub of the household and is now very closed, dark and tucked away." Is what the owners said.

Breaking out a wall is not something to take lightly. Certainly not if it is a bearing wall. This is why calculations have to be made. But not only because it is technically difficult. You'll get more difficult questions to answer: How will the new space look? What do we do with the floor? Etc.

After an extensive inventory is at the office of RAM - Design Your Kitchen outlined three different variations. Together with the owners we created a mix of all three and developed this into a complete 3D design. By creating a large closet around the corner into the living room, we really connected the two rooms.

In the middle of the former kitchen, we designed a large cooking island, kept homely with the two large Caravaggio pendant lamps. In the kitchen island, you will find a sink with Quooker Combi and a Miele induction cooktop. In the ceiling we placed a nearly invisible hood.

The wall cabinet includes all major appliances and even a TV. The small worksheet in the cupboard houses the espresso machine. The wall unit moves around the corner toward the dining room so the kitchen and living room are optically connected. In the cupboard in the dining area is a small built-in workspace with a height-adjustable desk. Behind the other doors all the dishes are stored.
