Office workstations and Office booths

The latest IQ_NetworkSpace of Marc de Groot presents itself from the outside as an elegant round transparent and lightly formed tented structure of mesh.

The IQ is a flexible semi-permanent structure and is partly open. As one steps within the IQ an immediate feeling of intimacy and shelter arises and the moire functioning effect of the mesh’s double lining reinforces this feeling.

The IQ offers organisations flexible office solutions like a temporary office or an alternative to meeting rooms and can provide organisations with a durable investment.

It can be applied to a wide range of usages from trainings and exhibition presentations, to a quite room or a presentation space or as a lounge area and tv-corner and even as a small library.

There are also many possibilities for the interior.

There is space for a round meeting table for up to 10 people but separate benches along the mesh wall could also be possible: the user is given all the freedom for experimenting to fill the IQ.

A special feature is that the IQ can be fitted with a beamer which projects on the mesh wall: thus a modern, full multimedia presentation space with picture and sound arises.

The standard IQ comes in transparent sunscreen mesh but can be effortlessly adapted to the wishes of the customer. The space is available in several colours and substances and can if requested come with the Glow, a design lamp for which Marc was awarded the Best or the Best Award in 2006, by 100% Design.

The IQ has a diameter of 3.60 m. and is 2.30 m. high. With these dimensions it is perfectly suited for creating calm in large, active and frequently hectic office surroundings. By its scope, acoustic properties, material choice and calm presence the IQ provides a pleasant location where sufficient space is offered to meet with up to 10 people. People can also choose to use this space to withdraw and quietly work if the surroundings do not permit this.

Marc de Groot Design works from the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) thinking perspective. This means that with the IQ all the material such as the mesh cover and steel components are recyclable. Thereby Marc de Groot Design can take back all the products, recycle them and make them again as new. Furthermore, the transportation of the IQ has been efficiently addressed to offer low cost and low impact delivery.

The selected construction method saves space and weight so that the product can be responsibly and efficiently delivered to its destination. Thereby the IQ becomes a sustainable investment for offices because it can be used as a temporary, reusable set up for trainings and/or exhibition presentations.
