HIGH HOUSE's debut wallpapers - inspired by fragments discovered at one of England's finest Tudor buildings - offer a contemporary twist on classic designs for period and modern homes. Delight in reinvented toiles, geometrics, stripes and florals.

Once dominating the Stafford skyline, The Ancient High House is the largest remaining timber-framed town house in England and one of the country's finest Tudor buildings. During its restoration layers of wallpapers were uncovered and these, together with work of the Tudor craftsmen who originally constructed the house, are celebrated in HIGH HOUSE's first wallpapers.

HIGH HOUSE is a new wallpaper design company originating from Staffordshire University's Faculty of Arts, Media and Design. Together with local industry and the heritage sector, HIGH HOUSE provides a rare opportunity for the most talented graduates and students to work with established designers, offering a professional platform and opportunity to create quality wallpaper designs suitable for residential and commercial spaces.

Designs selected for Spring 2013 include a reinvented toile by Russian-born graduate designer Anna Drezova capturing the spirit and pace of high street life today. Youngsters sip coffee at small tables, old chums chat idly on benches, shoppers rush, busy mums push their prams.

Her second design 'Oscar' is an innovative interpretation fusing old and new - recreating the texture of old layers with her own damask, ideal for residential and commercial spaces.

Graduate designer Rosy de Beer took inspiration from the most prominent feature of The Ancient High House, the timber frame. With her geometric 'Carpenter' design she recreates the beauty and grace of the historic timber patterns for today's walls.
