Intelligence made in Austria

HL Hutterer & Lechner is an Austrian family enterprise, which produces siphons, drains and traps for now 60 years. Latest result of this long-term experience: HL540 “Primus Drain”. In particular this is a floor drain, especially for tiled, barrier-free showers. In design most value was placed on both smart installation by the plumber and easy cleaning / access by the bath user. Also the focus was set on elegant appearance with a special design version HL540i. The advantages of this new shower drain may be recognized already at the time of installation: Stable fixing on the concrete floor by screws (with integrated sound absorbance “slippers”). The drain body may be adjusted in height with angles to produce a slope with the waste pipe. Super-easy to proceed: Without any working step in between the screed is filled in, it is no longer necessary, to adjust the height to the right level. Subsequent change of the screed thickness is no longer matter to the plumber – the salient extension of the drain body is shortened by a saw or a cutting disc, after the screed is hardened. Then the waterproof element, consisting of a flexible fleece and an integrated gasket is inserted and connected to the liquid waterproofing. Frame and grating are set in – usage for tile thickness from 8mm to 30mm. After tiling and tuck-pointing the trap is inserted, constructed as a “dry” trap: The patented “Pimus” trap works with normal water but, when the sealing water in the trap has evaporated, closes mechanically and avoids gas (and bad smell) coming up from the sewage. The trap itself is removable, on the one hand for easy cleaning, on the other hand to ensure generous access to the waste pipe, should there be any congestion below. Just to make sure! For enhanced design requirements: HL540i – Grate made of brushed, massive stainless steel with integrated hollow, to insert tiles.

HL540 „Primus Drain“: Capacity: 0.8l/s (HL540i: 0,6l/s) Height: min. 80mm, max. 250mm Frame: Inox V4A, 145mm x 145mm Grate: Inox V2A, 138mm x 138mm Height of sealing water: 50mm (HL540i: 40mm)
