Aqua Design Group is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and is LEED certified. We practice architectural methods that are safe and responsible towards the environment. Aqua Design Group promotes the use of eco-friendly building materials and equipment. We firmly believe in encouraging these safe practices as well as collaborating with other companies who do the same. Aqua Design Group also uses water and energy efficient practices such as harvesting rain and condensation within the water features. The design of the water feature can include rainwater and AC condensate harvesting systems to utilize water that would otherwise be routed to sanitary and storm sewer systems, conserving domestic water usage and sewer loading. ADG can calculate the estimated water savings per various site specific options, which in turn can give the client budget flexibility. Our designs are frequently multi-functional, allowing for storm water retention and reuse, water quality management and public health considerations, in addition to an overall aesthetic value. Aqua Design Group is also proficient in designs that utilize raw water or treated effluent in lieu of potable water. Aqua Design Group is committed to improving the way we think and design for every project. In our efforts to protect the environment and reduce the impact of energy and construction waste, ADG strives for the following: Promote the use of recycled building materials such as stainless steel and low e glass Incorporate plant diversity into our green wall designs Recycle water with our self-contained systems Suggest south or west facing exterior living walls to clients; in order to save energy consumed in buildings Choose energy efficient pumps for all water feature designs Source local products and plants Install programmable timers for our water systems to reduce electricity and water consumption Continue to reduce, reuse, recycle, and redesign
