Architectural lighting design is concerned with the design of lighting systems, including natural light and electric light. To be able to deliver quality services architects, interior designers and electrical engineers need to take into account the required amount of light, its color and its distribution within the space to be lit (whether indoor or outdoor). This intuitively-operated spectrometer is Android-based and specifically designed for the measurement and characterisation of light sources - especially LEDs - providing accurate spectral information and color coordinates which conform to the CIE standards. The spectrometer has a touch screen display which presents such data as: a full spectral profile i.e. Spectral Power Distribiution, chromaticity charts according to CIE standards, color coordinates, all lighting parameters like CCT, CRI and individual R1 - R14 indices and colour peak values.
