Wood laminate flooring

With a new variant of fleece’n’flex, Schorn & Groh is expanding its product palette of fleece-backed veneer. Instead of the usual smooth surface, the genuine wood on the new textured version has a structure you can see and feel. The current selection includes the structures bark, shingle, rustic, brushed and hand-milled. As with all fleece’n’flex veneers from Schorn & Groh, customers can select from more than 140 species of wood, burl veneers and other rarities, veneers from the exclusive collection One-of-a-Kind and FSC or PEFC-certified wood species. Anyone who is interested may visit the Schorn & Groh warehouse in Karlsruhe and take a close look at the veneers.

The fleece´n´flex PLUS variants offer extras to satisfy customers’ special requirements. One variant is very thinly cut veneer that is translucent and therefore suitable for lamps or backlit elements. Perforated veneer is translucent too and appropriate for use as acoustic elements. A double-layer veneer is available if extra stability or thickness is desired. All structured variants are available as double-layer veneer. Other variants are: pre-sanded and/or flexed, with lacquered or melamine-coated surface, with self-adhesive backing, as wood species mix, with D4, phenol resin or melamine resin bonding.

All fleece´n´flex veneers are made to customer specifications in Eschelbronn in southern Germany. The fleece too is made in our own factory. Adhesive and fleece are selected to suit the intended use of the fleece´n´flex veneers. A bond of melamine resin, for example, has increased moisture resistance and considerably better temperature resistance. For projects with fire-resistance requirements, Schorn & Groh recommends a phenol resin bond. The material mix of veneer, adhesive and fleece offers many benefits over raw veneer, such as better formability, great strength and simple processing.
