FLAKE (snowflake) system is the name of a "building blocks" of the luminaire, which allows you to choose the shape of the luminaire, the size, the method of distribution of light, appearance, colour, etc. Given the potential for large size, this luminaire is designed primarily for public buildings, halls, lobbies and similar spaces.
FLAKE system consists of individual ceiling hangings and various types of lighting of the arms, which are mounted in the relevant number to this centre piece in place. This can result in a "chandelier" with a diameter of nearly 2 m or by contrast in the little "Snowflake" with a diameter of about 70 cm.
Material - the central suspensions and wall brackets are made from steel and lacquered, by default, in a gray or white colour - types FLAKE plastic have shades of lighting arms made of organic glass (plexiglass), base of the luminaires are lacquered steel sheet - By metal FLAKE types are lighting arms made of aluminium profile, lampshade is then from organic glass (plexiglass) satin.
Lighting arms of FLAKE are equipped with either different types of fluorescent tubes or halogen lamps at low voltage. In this case, the transformer is inside of the arm.
