Anne Kranenborg graduated from the Interior Architecture & Furniture Design department in 2015 with her project ‘State of Transition’. The collection considers furniture to be in a constant state of fluidity, awaiting the moment in which a person provides context for the object. When objects are stripped of their context, all the biased ways in which we are used to approaching or dealing with them are no longer relevant or applicable. For RESET, Kranenborg continues her research into little exposed structures and how to illuminate them. By designing flexible interventions that obstruct certain passage-ways and corridors in the apartment, she stresses our daily interactions with our architectural surroundings. Underlying structures become visible and invite the viewer to actively perceive and explore – to redefine the known.
