Vantage User Interfaces : Fully ‘à la carte’ control

You can operate a Vantage system using any touchscreen or keypad in the house. Of course, you can also use smartphones and tablets. And the system can also perform pre-programmed scenarios. For instance, a command to pull down the blinds if the sensors detect that the inside temperature is getting too high. This command can still be cancelled if the wind meter shows that there is a strong breeze. In any case, the Vantage system will perform every task quickly, logically and reliably. The use of high-end operating interfaces – keypads, touchscreens and apps – and sensors is an essential factor here. Read on to find out more.

Equinox LCD Keypads : Form and functionality combined As the name suggests, LCD Keypads – a totally new product category exclusive to Vantage – are actually similar to normal keypads. But they also have features you could previously only find on touchscreens. A key aspect of Vantage LCD Keypads is that they are simple and intuitive to operate. Although there are only slightly larger than normal keypads, their functionality is many times greater. For instance, with a single LCD Keypad, you can control the lighting, temperature and music in a room.

Equinox LCD Touchscreens : Emphasis on experience In many ways, these look like conventional touchscreens. And of course they are, but they are also different. Different enough to have their own name anyway. Vantage LCD touchscreens work using pre-designed widgets, each with a specific functionality. Since the layout is largely predefined, it is possible to create a pleasant, uniform user experience. The front looks stylish and modern, partly due to the use of an edge-to-edge glass sheet. Vantage LCD Interfaces are available in two formats: 4” (10 cm) and 7” (18 cm).

Smartphones & Tablets : A mobile lifestyle Of course you can also use your smartphone or tablet – both Apple and Android are supported – to operate your Vantage system. It makes no difference if you are actually in the building or thousands of miles away. You can use these portable devices to operate all aspects of the Vantage system: view camera images, control the lighting, unlock the door for a visitor, select an album from your music library, set the temperature, and much more.
