M.I.D. starts roll-out of Custom Art Silk collection: affordable silk-look carpet, for residential and project use
The new Custom Silk Art collection by M.I.D. offers the best of both worlds: high quality natural wool, and extremely durable synthetic polyamide. This mixture of yarns has resulted in a soft and shining carpet, with an exclusive silky look and feel. The four carpet structures are available in any desired colour, and this collection is the ideal basis for any creative interior design.
Sustainable At M.I.D., a transparent and sustainable production chain is one of our priorities. The Custom Art Silk collection is woven on the Wilton looms in Genemuiden; we also dye the yarns in any desired colour. Custom Art Silk is woven from 100% high quality polyamide 6 yarns, or any optimised mixture of 40/60 polyamide and pure New Zealand wool. This last combination will result in a more robust look that will still have that nice silky finish. The collection is also acoustically dampening and lightfast - making it extremely suitable as a soft, comfortable floor cover for particular home-owners and as carpet for design projects.
League of its own The Art Silk collection is not just appealing and of impeccable quality; it also has the following qualifications: colour-fast and lightfast (Class 5), fire resistant (up to Bfl-S1), acoustically dampening (± 31 dB) and the encompassing qualification 'strong and durable' (according to the EN 1307 standard with user classifications 22/23 and 33). The New Zealand wool is naturally fire-retardant and effectively stain and damp resistant.
