CONTRAFLAM is range of fully insulating, clear, fire-resistant safety glass that offers from 30-120 minutes of integrity and insulation (EI30-EI120).

Manufactured in the UK by GLASSOLUTIONS, the products consist of two or more sheets of toughened safety glass. The cavity between the sheets of glass is filled with a transparent intumescent gel interlayer which reacts when exposed to fire. The number of sheets of toughened safety glass and interlayers is determined by the level of required fire resistance.

CONTRAFLAM satisfies the highest demands of fire protection. It is robust in handling and UV stable with numerous variations available.

The range also includes: • CONTRAFLAM LITE – a range of partially insulating, clear, fire-resistant safety glass, offering 30-120 minutes of integrity and partial insulation (EW30-EW120). • CONTRAFLAM DOOR LITE - a special product for use in doors which is only 11mm thick. It offers 30-60 minutes integrity and partial insulation protection (EW30-EW60). • CONTRAFLAM STRUCTURE - a product range which enables fire-rated frameless glass for internal applications.

CONTRAFLAM can be used for both internal and external areas, for installation into steel, aluminium or timber frames, partitions, and doors – in single glazing, laminated and double glazing formats.

It can also be combined with products that offer safety & security (STADIP, STADIP PROTECT), enhanced thermal insulation (SGG PLANITHERM), acoustic (SGG STADIP SILENCE), solar control (SGG ANTELIO, SGG COOL LITE, SGG PARSOL), Decorative (SGG MASTERGLASS, SGG SATINOVO, EMALIT, PRIVALITE) and glass flooring (LITE-FLOOR)

This ensures CONTRAFLAM combines an aesthetically appealing and minimalistic appearance with the highest standards of performance, whatever the application.
