The CHROMOSOME COLLECTION transforms traditional lighting into contemporary art by sculpting together Murano glass artistry with fiber optic technology. The development of this audacious collection began with designer Patrick E. Naggarʼs suspension. The suspension consists of 4 large pieces of Murano glass, completely blown by Murano artisans, and joined together by a metal frame. Veronese turned to fiber optic technology to bring to life Naggarʼs interpretation of the DNA strands. The suspensionʼs complicated design took approximately 6 months and many meetings between Naggar and the Veronese design team to develop.

To compliment the suspension, Naggar designed two floor lamps each one bolder than the other. For the floor lamps, Naggar magnified the original suspension design allowing us to get a closer look at the contrasts between Murano glass and fiber optic lighting. He further emphasizes the artistic value of the floor lamps by giving each its own pedestal: one made of marble the other metal.
