Grabill offers casement, awning and hopper windows in a variety of configurations which can be integrated with fixed in frame windows and doors. The operable sash is assembled with mortise and tenon joinery for a total sash thickness of 1¾” or 2¼”. Traditional European in-swing and American out-swing operation is available. These windows are also available in contemporary aluminum or bronze clad. Out-Swing Our out-swing casement window is operated by using a bronze push bar or a high quality roto-operator with cover variations. The operable sash is assembled with mortise and tenon joinery and is supported by European exterior “screw-in” hinges or concealed stainless steel hinges. To keep the elements on the outside, the sash is sealed with two uninterrupted weather seals and has a machined-in water channel at the top and sides.
In-Swing Our contemporary styled in-swing window is operated by a single lever, allowing the window to swing in like a door. Our stainless steel multi-point hardware system ensures a tight seal while providing additional security and increased sash stability for oversized units.
Insect screens are installed on the exterior as a fixed or retractable screen. The in-swing window is also available in bronze or aluminum clad and is compatible with a wide selection of lever designs, from modern to rustic.
Since our in-swing casement systems do not have fixed vertical dividers between sashes, they are ideal for meeting egress requirements while still maintaining elegant sash proportions.
