Triptyque launches its design line CARPINTEIRO (carpenter in Portuguese), a tribute to carpenters from field.
The architecture agency Triptyque introduces the first pieces of the CARPINTEIRO line: furniture made by carpenters during the construction process. Adapted to reach industrial production, it has been rethought as a piece of design, seeking to combine sophistication and simplicity.
During the works, the carpenters build the forms that will receive the concrete, but they also develop and build furniture for the workers day-to-day life. In general, these pieces have a specific design, using the raw material of the construction such as planks, wood and plywood fixed by nails. Answering to an immediate need, its manufacturing technique is rapid and self-made.
