CODESYS is the market-leading IEC 61131-3 system for the development of application software. The system is used in different areas of building automation, for example for room control, for the automation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems or for the connection to superordinate building control systems. The CODESYS Store, an automation app shop, offers add-on tools around CODESYS. Available for download from the Store for example is the "OSCAT library" which offers numerous automation functions for building controllers. The CODESYS Application Composer, also a CODESYS Store product, is an integrated add-on tool for the module-based development of building projects.

What's new for the 2014 light+building:

Together with the companies Weiss Klimatechnik, Berghof Automation and MBS GmbH, 3S-Smart Software Solutions has integrated a BACnet protocol stack plus configurator into the CODESYS Development System. Manufacturers of building controllers and energy management systems who implement CODESYS on their devices can now opt to use a fully integrated BACnet solution for their building project. Devices with a CODESYS implementation such as the identically constructed controllers intelli.4 from Weiss Klimatechnik and EC2250 from Berghof Automation can be used as so called BACnet building controllers for all building tasks such as the energy-efficient air conditioning of data processing centers, for measuring rooms, clean rooms or operating theatres.
