Designer Bertjan Pot: "The idea behind the Arc was to design a solid wooden bench in the shape of a tree trunk to combine with the razor-thin Slim table. In the course of the process - in order to facilitate stepping in and the trunk was pared down to the very limit so it ended looking like the hull of a ship. From a technical perspective, the construction is a masterpiece: the bench is composed of two big wooden, pressed parts in oak. The leather grips are a beautiful and functional detail."
