Door furniture in care institutions is used intensively and, forms an important transfer point for bacteria. Fortunately, there is a solution. Products treated with HC3 can be an eff ective part of a general infection prevention programme. HC3 has been proven to be effective against the feared MRSA and E. Coli bacteria to name but two examples. Instead of containing chemical substances (biocides) or silver ions, HC3 contains an innovative photocatalytic element. This element has the property that it acts as a catalyst under UV light (daylight) and that it uses a physical phenomenon to break down simple organisms (bacteria, viruses, organic waste). The end result is only the residual substances water and carbon dioxide. HC3 goes a lot further in its eff ectiveness than silver ions. The highest level of anti-bacterial eff ectiveness was,of course, the key objective when developing the coating. The latest developments in nanotechnology assisted us in achieving HC3.
