Reliable extraction at the point of emission
In machine and apparatus construction, welding is often performed at different workplaces. The concentration of harmful particles in welding smoke amounts to 99 %. These particles are harmful because they are smaller than one micron and enter the human lungs. The WEL for dust was recently lowered from 3 to 1.25 mg/m³. In order to extract dusts reliably at the point of emission, the German manufacturer Rentschler REVEN has developed the mobile air cleaner WM. It is made of stainless steel and fitted with a mechanical X-CYCLONE® separator as well as with a particulate air filter. The extraction rate is2,000 m³/h and the filter service life is up to three years. The appliance is optionally available with one or two extraction arms that can be freely pivotedand rotated. For particularly critical welding or soldering workplaces, the air cleaner can be fitted with a special cartridge filter, which is suitable for gases and odorous matter as well as welding and soldering fumes. The cleaned air is returned to the workshop.
