“12”, from the number of the designers involved, is the name of the exhibition organised by Fondazione Musei Civici Veneziani in collaboration with GLAS ITALIA and curated by Daniele Sorrentino, which will take place concurrently in Venice at the prestigious Venetian museums of Palazzo Fortuny and Ca’ Pesaro-Galleria Internazionale d’Arte Moderna. The aim of the show is to see the designed object through different eyes restoring it to its original function. In both museums some items of furniture conceived and designed for Glas Italia by the most famous international designers will be on display: from Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec to Piero Lissoni, from Michele De Lucchi to Nendo, from Jean-Marie Massaud to Naoto Fukasawa, from Ron Gilad to Johanna Grawunder, from Jasper Morrison to Tokujin Yoshioka, from Elena Cutolo to Ettore Sottsass. Visitors to Ca’ Pesaro and Palazzo Fortuny will be able to admire the works on display, but they will also be invited to consciously enjoy and appreciate the “objects of design” scattered around the museum.
