STEP 1: FRAME Side: made from solid steamed and seasoned beech wood, pre-assembled using tenon and mortise joints and glue. This frame is sandwiched between MDF panels. Backrest: made of solid steamed and seasoned beech wood assembled with an MDF panel. The various seat components are assembled using steel screws. All the structures are appropriately shaped at the front to provide ergonomically correct support; the edges are rounded to avoid damaging the padding and the upholstery. The seat tips up by gravity through a steel counterweight enclosed in the back of the seat and not visible; the tipping mechanism, based on silent, self-lubricating nylon bushes, automatically brings the seat back to the resting position.
STEP 2: PADDING The seat and backrest padding is made of fire-retardant polyurethane foam of differentiated densities in order to guarantee maximum comfort; the padding is also guaranteed to maintain its shape, support capacity and firmness over time. On the sides, the entire surface is lightly padded and the profiles are appropriately shaped and tapered for best technical and aesthetic results. The seat and backrest spring system consists of pre-tensioned interwoven polypropylene and natural latex elastic belts.
STEP 3: UPHOLSTERY Pelle Frau leather or fabric upholstery applied according to traditional high-quality upholstery techniques using hidden fastening; the stitching thread, in a colour matching the upholstery, is selected according to the mechanical and friction resistance guarantee. This product has been piece-dyed through a special mechanical process to obtain an uneven appearance and texture. Therefore, any creases or inconsistencies in terms of colour and/or appearance are not to be considered defects but distinctive characteristics of the product.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES The seat is fastened to the floor by means of metal feet coated with scratch-resistant epoxy powder (or, alternatively, chromium-plated), high enough to protect the upholstery from accidental kicking. The various seat components are assembled using steel screws, while the support feet are anchored to the floor using steel anchor screws specific for the different types of flooring. Because of their special technical features, the seats can be made in different sizes to ensure the optimum use of space in theatres and to guarantee high levels of comfort.
