Intention

My intention was to create both highly comfortable and perfectly functional pieces of interior furniture that at the same time create its own special atmosphere. The feeling you may have when you sit by the table, the feeling when you touch it or the way it may have an impact on you. All this was very important to me. In order to make the feeling as pleasant as possible we have tried to achieve the highest possible quality in production. All tables are hand crafted, the legs are polished stainless steel and the glass is sandblasted.

Translucency and transparency

Both the translucency and the transparency of the table tops was the major issue for each table. What we see and do not see under the table top while sitting at the table influences our behaviour. For this reason, we worked on the way in which the table top will be sandblasted. High tables only have a small part in the middle of the table top which is transparent in order to hide major views under the table while at the same time softly showing the table base structure as always consisting of three legs.

SUN TABLE

In the middle of the lacquered MDF table top is a round glass which is sandblasted on the outer perimeter and clear towards the centre of the glass. As in a mist, we find the base structure when looking through the center of the glass. The table base is visible only in the middle and it slowly disappears like in the fog of an early morning when the sun shines through. For this we call the yellow table the Sun Table.

The middle glass is easily removable and in the near future it will be possible to change the middle part for example with a Lazy Susan or stainless steel dish for ice or water or a wooden part for hot pots.

dimensions: diameter 1600 mm, height 740 mm table top - lacquered MDF (various colours available) + partly sandblasted glass in the middle base - polished stainless steel

MOON TABLE

The sandblasting glass table top of the Moon Table distributes amazingly the light to the edge of the table as if shining in cosmic space. Like a star in the midnight sky, flooded by moonlight. The Moon Table may fit as a major feature in a dining room as well as in a café, restaurant or meeting room.

COFFEE TABLE

The concept of the coffee table is very similar to the Moon Table, however it has two levels of glass tops to enlarge its space. In the middle of the lower glass opening the legs grow to the upper glass like a stem of a plant supporting a flower.

Top sandblasted glass: diameter 850 mm, height 400 mm Lower sandblasted glass: diameter 750 mm, height 212 mm base - polished stainless steel

WINE TABLE

The Wine Table has its opening in the table top for convenient placing of a wine bottle. The bottle sits on the legs of the table, it even improves the table’s own stability making it almost impossible to fall to the floor. The parts where the bottle touches the table were the most important. Special black rubber was placed on both the glass and the legs to allow comfortable handling of the bottle. Our Wine Table can be used with all types of bottles and Champagnes. For extra shapes of bottles a made-to-measure table can be custom ordered.
