Keyhole Coffee Table is another brightly polished piece in Terrazzo by Lorenzo’s Furniture As Jewelry collection. Composed of fine-grained crushed black and white marble and bits of glimmering aluminum “chaff,” the piece is reminiscent of granite. This table is fabricated in the manner of an oversized piece of jewelry. The cleft in the terrazzo top is bridged by aluminum rods. Its curvaceous beechwood base incorporates aluminum elements. Both Peapod and Keyhole were designed as oversized brooches, and reflect the fundamental lapidary nature of terrazzo as a medium.
