The Olivewood Technology Chil-LED industrial temperature controlled area light is designed to maximize operating efficiency in industrial insulated environments. It does this by separating the lit part of the system from the other components and situating the separated parts on either side of the insulated panel. The two sections are connected by a conduit which encloses the power supply to the LED lighting system, along with heat pipes which extract the heat generated by the LEDs. The heat extraction system prevents waste heat energy from entering the insulated cold area, reducing the load on air conditioning systems. By situating only the lighting part of the system inside the controlled environment, the physical intrusion of the light fitting is kept to a minimum and the shape of the unit is smooth, free of cooling fins and easy to clean. Because the electrical supply, mounting bracket and heat sink assembly are all outside the controlled environment, they remain easy to access and operate within ambient temperatures.
