2 Light Emitting Diodes (LED): LED illumination source shall meet the standards as outlined in LM-79 & LM-80; UL listed and IP 65 minimum rating; high brightness LEDs; 4,000 K minimum color temperature; 75 CRI minimum; 50,000 hour minimum rated life.
3 Electronic Controls: Solis Power Management System or equal; microprocessor-based charge controller / LED driver; fully programmable algorithmic load optimization utilizing Pulse-Width-Modulation (PWM); constant voltage control; quad-balanced independent PV panel inputs; on-board voltage and current controlled battery charging at automated full/slow charge rates; battery 10% depth of battery discharge and over/under charging voltage cutoff; logic can differentiate between daylight and environmental ambient light; automatic seasonal dusk/dawn activation; look- ahead battery-load correlation routines for maximum off-grid survival operation; start-up self-test and status indication; IP67 sealed connectors with pre-crimped wire termination. 4 PIR sensor; Passive infrared sensor to provide automatic brightup on approach. Sensor contains built-in magnetic sensor to provide a simple in-field test function using a small magnet.
5 Batteries: Sealed lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4); maintenance free; 100% recyclable materials; no transportation restrictions (classified non-hazardous material for surface, maritime or air transport by cargo aircraft); 3,000 cycle minimum life; maintains 75% minimum charge after 12 months if left disconnected. Built-in protection circuit within battery module to prevent over/under voltage and current and overtemperature. LiFePO4 is the safest type of lithium ion battery available and is used in electric vehicles. Battery module capacity is under 35 watt hours.
