Study for a house in which simplicity in design and organization of spaces, where the leading points for the client, as well as the existence of a painting studio.
The plot surrounded by trees and walls of basalt stones and a large grass field, stayed without any intervention, and the entrance is marked by the blind volume of the double height studio. After parking the car under the studio volume, the entrance brings a transparent inside, with large sliding windows and continuous circulation.
This project was awarded in 2010 with the 1st prize in the LABJOVEM awards for Architecture.
LABJOVEM is a competition promoted by the Portuguese government in the Azores region, to encourage young professionals in several fields of creative arts.
