After the fire of 2007, Schloss Elmau has now been restored to its full glory. This 5-star luxury hotel near Garmisch-Partenkirchen was re-opened in July 2007 and designated Hotel of the Year 2007 only a few weeks later at the fifth European „Hotelforum” conference. The superior interior design was complemented with lighting made especially for Schloss Elmau by Baulmann of Sundern.

The superior interior design was complemented with lighting made especially for Schloss Elmau by Baulmann Leuchten of Sundern. In cooperation with the interior designer DBLB Architects - Munich and the lighting designer Kardorff Engineers - Berlin the team of Baulmann Leuchten managed to consider both the aesthetical and the technical aspects within the design of the pure bespoke luminaires. This 5-star luxury hotel had been awarded “Hotel of the Year 2007” at the fifth European „Hotelforum” conference.
