The idea was to establish an icon building in a quarter that is experiencing urban transformation, and from this building growth, to create an architectural object that will express its intrinsic functions. The building’s skin, its façade, is the element that constitutes the architectural expression trying to generate a “communicational” interface between exterior and interior. The building is located in the old quarter of Palermo, which in the past years has experienced a considerable real state transformation. These mutations in the area observed the exponential demand of hotels with some stylistic imprint, mostly intended for tourism. It has also generated a demand focused in a degree of personalization based on this typology that differs from the traditional hotel. This typological variable brings together hotel life and housing life with the advantage of including hotel centralized services such as: gymnasium, spa, bar, restaurant.
