At Vitan, we believe in designing basic functional spaces that inherent an effortless expression of form and detail. The site office reflects this thought and culture of design.
‘Parisar’ Site office building was built as a structure which was to be used for a short span of two to three years. The function of the structure was an onsite marketing setup and to house the show-apartments of the project and a space to exhibit the Parisar housing project model and visuals, our client’s corporate profile and attitude.
Being a ‘marketing setup ’, we wanted to create a building which would evoke inquisitiveness of by-passers and invite a further inquiry. Concept was achieved by creating an illusion of an elevating floating box by projecting a very slender platform over an artificially created trench as an entrance porch. Suspended steel roof was deployed to achieve a slender structure. A low-hanging porch was skewed in plan to distort the visual perspective. The entrance was governed to compel this experience. The structure was clad with wooden (artificial) planks to create a horizontal pattern to enhance linear-scale of the structure. The wooden skin was also used to make it stand out from its surrounding being a rarely in this region.
Glass facade framed by wide uninterrupted entrance veranda without any visible structural element evokes the inviting spirit. The ‘kaddapa’ flooring of entrance platform to Connecting Bridge to cut-outs in the roof, each and every element was carefully designed and crafted to enhance the feel of homecoming.
