Skyline Tower Frankfurt

FINIGLAS Veredelungs GmbH as Manufacturers

Frankfurt, also called Mainhatten, got a new skyscraper, tower 185. It is the no. 4 in the highest office buildings in Germany with a height of about 200 meters. The tower was designed by the architects of Prof. Christian Mäckler. Part of the tower is the impressive Sky lobby at the top of the building. Glasbau Frommen GmbH from Offenbach was the executing company installing the stairway and the balustrade. Finiglas was the supplier of the curved glass panels. The glass setting is laminated 12.12.4 and 15.15.4. clear float. The Edges are all polished to guaranty a very good optic and for safety reasons to avoid sudden glass breakage. The weight of a glass panel is about 300 kg The curved glass panels for the stairs have the form of a curved parallelogram. The glass panels at the top of the stair have a very tight radius . They underline the rolling impression of the whole glass construction. The glass is corresponding to the ABZ . The AbZ is granted for construction products and types of construction within the scope of application of the Landesbauordnungen ('Building Regulations of the Land') for which there are no generally accepted technical rules, in particular DIN standards, or from which the item deviates considerably.
