Countless experiences are put together in the biography of a plot in which the various stages of history are arranged in successive layers. The proposal draws a contemporary layer in continuity with the existing ones. The building appears as an interpretation of the origin of Arabic door "Baab", not only seen as an element of access to the isolated area from the outside, but as an articulation of the entire urban landscape and a formal union of the various interior public urban spaces. This continuity is achieved by understanding the building as a door from the street “Capitulares” to the “Huerto de San Pablo”, where a number of iluminates paths provoque various atmosphers; a garden delimiting the different access, an aromatic garden, a garden to take a look at the archaeological rests, ... The paths evoke the traceries of traditional architecture repeating geometry with angles of 90 and 135 ° referring to the octagon (as present in the whole architecture of Cordoba), seek to merge naturally access points to the garden with respect to the urban environment. The building is understood as a piece between above two holes. One horizontal, allows the viandant to cross it and function as a door. Another vertical with one of those yards that have been shown to work well in this city, creates a suggestive vision throughout history, from the ruins to the new modern building. The proposal is implemented through a three-dimensional structure of walls and reinforced concrete slabs thermally isolated from the outside. The interiors are finished with a range of materials in common with their white color, giving prominence to the light and textures, the polished stone, glossy paint, … The building Parking-Cafetreria finish the composition and expand the urban space of the “Orive Plaza” and acts as another door to the inside of the park.
