In collaboration with Inner-City Arts, Aphidoidea presents this installation constructed with re-purposed 3-ring folder binders donated by a Southern California business.
The recycled folders were stacked and 3d mapped to 2 projectors and controlled via an interactive midi pad with buttons that changed programmed animations with sound in real-time.
Designed to push the boundaries of digital media into a physical environment, users/kids are encouraged to interact with the installation by pressing the various buttons located on the console.
The students of the I.C.A. programs contributed by submitting ideas and 2d artwork which has been digitally integrated into the design of the installation.
