Dinesen is among the exhibitors at “Qubique – next generation tradeshow” where selected international brands will display their design in the raw hangars at Berlin Tempelhof Airport from 26-29 October. Dinesen has, due to the excellent craftsmanship and uncompromising quality, delivered exclusive flooring for prestigious projects worldwide, and is looking forward to being part of the new Mecca for designers and architects in Berlin.
At Qubique the visitors get the opportunity to experience the solid Dinesen Douglas planks at a large scale. The new fair is held at the old Berlin Tempelhof Airport that sets an inspiring, architectonic setting, and goes well together with the exclusive planks from Dinesen. On the fair is also the new HeartOak® where the natural cracks have been preserved and locked with elegant dovetail joints of oak. The extraordinary wide oak planks are the finest that both we and the forest can produce.
Every single day for four generations, life at Dinesen has revolved around wood, excellent craftsmanship and uncompromising quality. Over the years, production has been developed and optimised based on the latest technology. However, traditional craftsmanship virtues still have pride of place, with every single plank passing through no less than ten pairs of hands. Dinesen works closely with its customers and possesses the expertise required to create unique solutions.
International architects and designers use the wide, up to 15 metres long wood planks from Dinesen to achieve an exceptional effect. Dinesen has been involved in a large number of prestigious international projects, from the Brandhorst Museum in Munich to the Saatchi Gallery in London, for which Dinesen has supplied more than 5,000 square metres of Douglas. At last year’s Salone del Mobile in Milan, Dinesen participated in the Wallpaper* Handmade exhibit, which presented the very best in handmade design.
