"Navitas at Aarhus' new waterfront will be Denmark's largest low-energy complex with a floorage of 35,000 m². The buildings will be accommodating educational institutions such as the Aarhus School of Engineering, the College of Marine Engineering and INCUBA Science Park and will have about 2,3000 users.
The project has been conceived by E. Pihl & Søn A.S., the architects Arkitektfirmaet Kjaer & Richter A/S, Christensen & Co Arkitekter a/s, Marianne Levinsen Landskab ApS (landscaping) and consulting engineers ALECTIA A/S and was in competition with several other projects nominated as winner of the competition due to the good functionality and the outstanding architecture. The complex will be an Energy Class 1 complex of buildings, and it is the intention that the buildings shall be an international example of how to save energy and use energy technologies.
