Studio - Office for design Maciej Karpiak – Poland Development period – January 2008 till March 2008 Investor – Office for design Maciej Karpiak Project – Office for design Maciej Karpiak Total space – 165m2 The building – old factory loft from the 60’s Location – Szczecin, Poland Purpose – design studio The goal – to maximize the open space with a built-in kitchen and separate bathroom. To achieve this goal, the dividing walls were torn down and the remaining one moved to create a room for the bathroom. The floor was laid with mineral carpet (brand Forbo). The wall next to the bathroom together with the handleless door was veneered with the natural veneer – “palisander”. In order to dramatize the effect of a loft space, all the electric installation was placed straight on the walls. The entire room creates a mobile space that has versatility and open access to change its layout with ease. Office furniture – project Maciej Karpaik for Mebelux. Kitchen – project Maciej Karpaik for nuuun.
