When asked what sets the Swing apart, Alain Berteau lists the following three features. First of all, its adjustable design. More than just flexible or multifunctional, the Swing is a versatile light fitting. The basic concept was a standard desk lamp, but the Swing turned out to be much more than that. Its minimalist contour, graceful in all its simplicity, catches the eye first – precisely in line with Aluci’s unique image. This paragon of purity claims little space, though the Swing can illuminate any spot necessary owing to its versatile nature. Thanks to its minimalist, graphic character, the Swing is not only perfect for the desktop, but at home anywhere in the house, as a reading light on a night stand or even as an atmospheric lighting ornament in the living room. As there are no inconvenient cables or spring mechanisms, the Swing does not detract from your interior. On the contrary, it is a welcome addition.

The second strength of the design is its eco-friendliness. The Swing is entirely made of aluminium, minimising its impact on the environment, and even contributes to its improvement by using LED technology.

Last but not least, the Swing adjusts to and fits in with any interior: even though the Swing is a high-tech light fitting containing many layers of technological ingenuity, its simple exterior would never give it away. “Many fittings are lifeless objects, useless and even unsightly when switched off. That is what sets the Swing apart from other lamps: when switched off, the lamp blends in with your office and even looks like an ornamental sculpture,” says Alain Berteau.
