Flamex baffles are sound absorbing elements applied hanging on the ceiling. Because they are hanging free, the advantage of baffles is that one can applicate more absorption on a single square meter (m2). Flamex baffles are available in various shapes, like a cilinder, cube, ellips, and rectangle, and in various colours (on request).
Flamex baffles consist of Flamex foam with a construction for suspension. Flamex is a sustainable sound-absorbing foam with open cells. It is made using a melamine plastics basis. Flamex is resistant to high temperatures and fire (EN - 13501-1 Fire class C).
Applications Flamex baffles improve the acoustic climate by reducing the excessive resonance in rooms, especially rooms where where no ceiling system can be used and/or the (concrete) ceiling remains in view. This is, for example, the case in buildings with a concrete core air conditioning system. Applications are for example offices and commercial or public spaces.
