An Ethnic Restaurant

An Ethnic Restaurant

Hiren Patel Architects as Interior Designer

When Ethnic values meets to modern requirements, it delivers an exquisite blend for society. We can see the same is the case this restaurant.

This restaurant is in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. Restaurant is a part of ‘ShreekunjMandapam’- a party plot (Ceremony venue) in the heart of the city. This party plot is also known for best hospitality and for creating environment best for Cultural Ceremonies.

Once you go down through ‘Toran’-an ethnic element of region, which reflects the rich past of its Architecture.

Having a wall made of antique stone blocks one side and a screen inspired of wooden blocks on the other, makes this place the most striking space of restaurant which also serves the purpose of reception. To maintain the ethnicity and the essence of the region was main challenge throughout the process of designing and execution. Client’s immense inclination towards culture and deep knowledge of cultural values helped us a lot in the process.

For flooring we have used different types of natural stone to maintain the cultural environment, which also helped us cutting good amount of Carbon Footprint. All light fixtures are custom made and local craftsmen have worked in entire project. Wooden Ceiling inspired from traditional ‘Pol’ houses of Ahmedabad adds the value to eating space.

Restaurant serves pure vegetarian food, being vegetarianism most unique quality of region.

Basic principles of Architecture have been applied to the house and use of art & art-objects make the spaces of ‘timeless’ quality.

Architecture, Interior & Landscape Design is done by HPA, thus synchronized well with each other.
