Our Philosophy Our firm has the unusual distinction of being a firm dedicated to the design of buildings for arts and entertainment. With this singular focus, we are able to bring to our clients an unsurpassed wealth of knowledge regarding this particularly complex building type. This project knowledge and experience translates to our reputation for leading projects successfully from programming phases through finished construction. All three WBA partners began careers working for Benjamin Thompson, the AIA Gold Medal-winning architect, who during his 50+ year career emphasized that buildings are not about creating monuments to their designers, but are about creating a “setting for an enriched way of life.” We continue to honor that tradition as we design buildings that meet each client’s unique requirements, respond to the individual physical context and celebrate the joy that is embodied in the arts. Our buildings reflect the creative energy within, the character of their surroundings and the personality of their users. We take great pride in our work, but just as importantly our enthusiasm carries over to our clients, consultant partners and construction teams.
