The Westvlaamse Steencentrale (West Flemish Stone Company) was founded in 1948. Ever since the early days high quality facing bricks have been our trademark. In the Golden Sixties our business grew rapidly and we became the leading authority in exclusive facing bricks, which we imported from Southern and Western Europe and sold in the whole of Western Europe. In the 70s and 80s floor tiles, wall tiles, roofing tiles, natural stone and raw building materials were added to our product range. Later we bought our own brick slip cutter under the influence of the growing housing renovation market. We can proudly say that brick slips have become an important and still increasing part of our turnover. In the last five years we have continued to expand our product-range, this time with reclaimed building materials, for which we already enjoy an excellent reputation. Our large stocks allow us to meet customers’ most varied wishes and demands. Today the Westvlaamse Steencentrale supplies both new and reclaimed building materials of top quality to retailers, contractors and private persons all over the world.
