There are 12 separate companies which together form WEC Group Ltd, and each company is a specialist in its own industry. WEC Fabrication comprises three specialist fabrication arms. Welding Engineering is our heavy fabrication division focused on delivering projects for aerospace, marine, automotive, defense and oil & gas. m-tec specialises in bespoke architectural stainless steel and mild steel projects and also specialises in the fabrication of major public art features. SP Fabrications Ltd is a light fabrication house providing a service to smaller companies who require individual or small batch work. WEC Laser WEC Laser comprises of two companies - Laser Engineering located in Darwen, and 5750 Components in Liverpool. Continuous investment has enabled WEC Laser to compete in the industry at the highest level for many years, and today it is one of the largest sub-contract CNC laser cutting companies in the UK. In addition to supplying traditional flat-bed laser cutting services, WEC Laser through continuous investment in the latest state-of-the-art technologies has gradually moved into specialist laser cutting areas including tube laser cutting, box laser cutting, angle & channel laser cutting and 3D laser cutting. With the recent acquisition of a state-of-the-art fibre laser cutting machine WEC Laser will now be able to cut materials such as Copper, Brass and other non-ferrous up to 6mm in thickness – materials which before now the company have been unable to work with! Boasting an enviable capacity of 8 flat-bed lasers, 2 tube lasers, 6 press brakes and full in-house CNC and machining facilities, WEC Laser can provide a comprehensive service for any laser cutting requirement.
