Thomashoff + Partner Architects

Thomashoff + partner, founded by Fritz and Karlien Thomashoff in 2001, is a young and dynamic architectural studio that focuses on producing quality design. Our mission is to produce well-designed, environmentally appropriate designs that contribute positively to the built environment. Each project is an individual response to the unique and specific opportunities presented, the client's brief, climate, context and site conditions. The practice is registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession, the South African Institute of Architects and the Green Building Council of South Africa. We employ and collaborate with motivated individuals that are experts in their field. In the studio we employ: professional architects, architects-in-training, technical assistants who are supported by administrative staff. We believe in innovative and unique approaches to design problems and have an accumulated design experience of thirty years. The partners have been actively involved in a variety of design consulting on all scales in the built environment, from product design, retail fit-outs and interiors, restoration, remodelling, residential, group housing, low-cost housing, to master planning and urban design. Project experience varies from space planning implementation, healthcare design, educational and institutional projects, large sport facilities, urban design frameworks and road infrastructure design, for clients from both the private and public sector.
