Restorascapes are restorative environmental artscapes. They are multi sensory, multi functional, environmentally mindful, public art projects. I believe that it is my responsibility as an artist to not only enhance environments visually, but to communicate current global concerns to my audience. I choose to create minimal designs that act as a universal language of symbols, allowing me to communicate globally, beyond the barriers of linguistics. As I have always found solace and inspiration in Nature, my choice to re-use and recycle materials for my sustainable sculptures is founded in my quest to help preserve it. Renewable sources of Energy are at the forefront of my current designs. Restorascapes are restorative environmental artscapes. They are multi sensory, multi functional, environmentally mindful, public art projects. These parabolic structures are semi-covered outdoor gathering spaces built out of local sustainable materials Visually their clear linearity offers unambiguous stimulation through the contrasts of light and shade and through the balance of texture, color and natural material surfaces. Physically they invite movement within which induces the solar auditory system to play. Meditative sound vibrations relax and awaken the senses. Mindfully they offer a unique experience of transformation. One where the observer becomes an engaged and aware participant and where alternative energy solutions become the focus and the platform for thought and dialogue.
