Alexander Jung is a thinker and designer of architecture, and principal of reinhardtjung; an architecture office based in Frankfurt/ Main and Sydney that covers architecture and design in theory and practice; in buildings, installations, publications and other architectural projects. Jung was trained a draftsman, and worked internationally in Italy, Netherlands and Germany for large architecture companies. He reveived a postgraduate degree of Conceptual Design from Städelschule Frankfurt (Ben van Berkel, Mark Wigley, Peter Cook, CJ Lim). Jung received the Taut-Preis, a distinction of the BDA Germany, in 2002. He was part of UN Studio (van Berkel und Bos) between 1998-2004 and collaborated on IFCCA Manhattan, Almere Expo 2001, Venice Architecture University, Mercedes Benz Museum Stuttgart, before founding his own office.
Dipl.-Ing. M Arch Dagmar Reinhardt (*1971)
Dr. Dagmar Reinhardt is the Lecturer of Digital Architecture at The University of Sydney, where she currently leads the Master of Digital Architecture Research, and coordinates Architectural Communications. Reinhardt received a postgraduate degree at Städelschule (Enric Miralles, Peter Cook, Ben van Berkel) and holds a PhD by the University of Sydney that engaged the technological and affective potentials of a latent, performative, phenomenal architectural design; unfolding performance addressed as a latent potential embedded in design, through an organisational, structural, material expression of ‘unfigured’, non-finite form(ation), that develops in operation, stimulating sensation and experience. The current research investigates relationships between generative design, structural engineering and acoustic analysis. Reinhardt has lectured at Universities in Europe, including Bartlett School of Architecture, Städelschule Frankfurt, and Australian Schools including UTS, UNSW and The University of Sydney. Reinhardt is also principal of reinhardtjung architects, a research-led practice that develops architecture through buildings, installations and curatorial work, publications, academic education and research, which has been widely published and received numerous awards.
Since 2010 Dagmar Reinhardt is a full time lecturer at Sydney University for Digital Architecture. Both, Reinhardt and Jung, are teaching several objects in relation to the digital realm.
