Plexwood deals with the development, production and sale of a sustainable strong architectural material called plexwood. Our product has a clear line structure and it can be applied conceptually. We are specialized in working with architects and designers and we customize our products to our clients’ projects.

We are highly dedicated to creating sustainable products. Plexwood is made from production-based wood predominantly harvested from forests with sustainable management certifications. If a specific qualification is preferred, we can purchase the materials and manufacture the products according to our customers’ requirements. For instance, we have produced for FSC, LEED and Cradle-to-Cradle projects.

Moreover, we do not use formaldehyde-based glue nor volatile organic compounds in our production. Instead, we take advantage of the natural qualities of the end-grain wood.

Plexwood is well suited for re-use, featuring exceptional insulating properties and it can be recycled at the end of its lifecycle into biomass. We recycle more than 98 % of the waste from the production process.

We also place a lot of emphasis on social engagement. Plexwood is produced in the Netherlands under one of the world’s strictest national regulations and legislation with regard to humans and environment.
