Office of Architecture

Office of Architecture (OA) was established in 2012 on the premise that great spaces require the artful orchestration of vision and logistics; that ingenuity can emerge from the limits set by the hard realities of a problem; and that imagination need not belie common sense. OA engages each project with the design sensibility to envision the big idea and the professional savvy to realize its potential. Aniket Shahane, Principal As founder and principal of Office of Architecture, Aniket Shahane oversees design and production on all projects. Born in India, raised in the United States, and trained internationally as an architect, Aniket brings a diverse set of experiences to each architectural problem. His professional tenure working as a Designer and Project Architect at the offices of Enric Miralles in Barcelona, Next Phase Studios in Boston, and Joel Sanders in New York City has equipped him with the vision to put forth an idea and the skills to see it through. Aniket received his Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Architecture from Yale University, where he was awarded the Enid Storm Dwyer Scholarship and the Edward Parsons Medal. Aniket is currently teaching architecture design studios as a Critic at the Yale School of Architecture and has taught in the past at the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA, and RISD in Providence, RI. He continues to participate as a regularly invited guest critic at various architecture schools including Columbia University, Washington University, California College of Arts, Parsons The New School for Design, The Institute for Architecture and Urbanism, and New York Institute of Technology. Aniket is a licensed architect in New York.
