Marta Piaseczynska I started my architectural education in the University of Applied Arts in Vienna in Greg Lynn’s studio three years ago after graduating from high-school in Poland. The emphasis of my studies was to explore the integration of current design strategies, architecture theory and manufacturing practices as well as new methods and media to communicate concepts. Within the school environment I am used to collaborate in teams that are also interdisciplinary. Studying in a rich design environment surrounded by many different fields ranging from graphic design, photography to fashion, industrial design and architecture I early developed an interest in film, animation and concept art both for developing designs as well as communicating projects and ideas. I studied next to the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, at the Southern California Institute of Architecture in Los Angeles CA. Rangel Karaivanov After graduating from high-school I started studying architecture at Greg Lynn Studio at the University of Applied Arts, Vienna, graduation with distinction in January 2015. Early on during my studies I developed an interest in automated mechanical systems and how architecture can be rethought in order to make it more adaptive and dynamic. A variety of research projects as well as collaborations with architecture offices gave me the opportunity to focus on these topics and my exchange at the Southern California Institute of Architecture in Los Angeles where I worked during a semester in a robotics laboratory helped me to develop more specific skills in motion-control and mechanics as well as opening up a new way of thinking about architecture.
