Mula Preta Design is a product design studio based in Natal/Brazil since 2012. The studio was founded by the architect Felipe Bezerra and the designer André Gurgel, both from Natal, when they decided to be partners, as they had a lot in common regarding creative ideas. The name is inspired on a famous song that represents Brazilian Northeast’s culture, because the main concept of their projects is to represent that. With that in mind, they were able to bring that culture in evidence, participating with their products in exhibitions in Paris and Milan, where they rewarded several awards such as the Platinum A'Design Award, achieved in 2012 with the Fluens icon, and the Golden A'Design Award, achieved in 2013 with the Basquete Lounge Chair, among others obtained in Milan.
